ACT Summer Day Program 2017

This summer, we are offering 4 two-week sessions of fun and exciting theatrical and musical adventures. Each session, we will rehearse scene and song selections from a classic musical and perform them on the final Friday evening at 4PM. Classes in movement, voice, acting and theatre games will fill out each day. We will be performing two different shows this year: Disney's Alice in Wonderland JR during sessions I & II and Seussical JR during sessions III & IV.

The summer day program will be at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Belmont. The program will be held in the church's beautiful function hall, which includes a stage, piano and windows, as well as a separate rehearsal room with another piano.

As always, you may register for multiple sessions and will have a fresh, new experience each time! Each session will have a special theme. Check out the descriptions below.

About the Shows:

Disney's Alice in Wonderland JR: The ever-curious Alice’s journey begins innocently enough as she chases the White Rabbit. Her adventures become increasingly more strange as she races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game! - See more at: MTI.

Seussical JR: Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant! - See more at: MTI.
