Acceptance into this production will be on a first-come-first-served basis. Children of ACT Board members are granted a limited early registration period. All ACTors accepted into the production must take part in an audition workshop to determine where they best fit into the production. Specific roles will be assigned at the sole discretion of the artistic staff/audition panel.
Please note the rehearsal schedule for the show, which you can find here. You will not be required for every rehearsal, only for those where your character is called. Absences are strongly discouraged throughout the rehearsal process, and more than two absences during the staging of any single number will result in the actor being cut from the number. Attendance is mandatory for all runs, technical and dress rehearsals from Monday, March 4th onward. the All actors and at least one parent are encouraged to attend an informational meeting on Thursday December 6th from 5:30–6:30 where we will share more details about the production, the audition process and begin sign-ups for volunteer committees.
All payments/payment arrangements and forms (audition, measurement, health, liability and behavior) must be completed and received prior to the start of the audition workshops. Please note: There are no refunds after the start of the audition process.
Further audition workshop information and scheduling will be provided after registration is closed.
As is our standard policy, final casting decisions will not be made until after the first week of rehearsals. The staff will use this time to get to know the cast and explore the show.
If you have any questions about registration, please email Annie_Auditions@act.arlington.ma.us.
