Singin' in the Rain Jr: Audition Instructions

Acting:

Actors should choose from one of the following:

1. prepare a comedic monologue no longer than one minute. The monologue can be from any musical or play, but cannot be from Singin in the Rain
2. prepare a reading from your favorite book or fairy tale. The reading should be funny and lighthearted.

Music:

Actors will learn a brief portion of the song “Singin' in the Rain” from Singin' in the Rain Jr. during the audition. The song will be taught in a group by the music director. Actors will then be expected to sing individually with the piano accompaniment.
